Finding qualified autism therapists outside of Lagos in Nigeria can feel near impossible. Purgo Care's outstation support removes this barrier — our experienced therapists travel to your city for intensive therapy blocks or regular scheduled visits, bringing the same quality of care we deliver in Lagos directly to your home, wherever you are in Nigeria.

What Is Outstation Support?

Outstation support involves a Purgo Care therapist travelling to your location for a scheduled period — typically a 5–10 day intensive block of daily sessions, followed by telehealth follow-up and periodic return visits. We cover ABA therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, play therapy, and special education — all available outstation. Between visits, we support parents through online consultations and home practice programmes.

Benefits of Outstation Support

Same Quality, Your City

The same certified therapists and evidence-based approaches we use in Lagos — delivered in your home, anywhere in Nigeria.

No Need to Relocate

Your family stays home. We come to you — removing one of the biggest barriers to quality autism care in Nigeria.

Intensive Blocks

Concentrated therapy — daily sessions for 5–10 days — can produce significant gains in a short period.

Telehealth Between Visits

Video consultations with your therapist keep progress on track between in-person visits.

Parent Training

We spend significant time coaching parents — ensuring that when we leave, you can maintain progress and continue the work.

Full Assessment & Reports

We provide comprehensive written assessments and progress reports that your local doctors, schools, and support services can use.

What to Expect

Outstation engagements begin with a detailed pre-visit consultation by video call, where we assess your child's needs and set goals for the visit. On arrival, your therapist conducts a thorough in-person assessment before beginning daily therapy sessions. A daily schedule is created for the duration of the visit. Parents are intensively coached throughout. Before leaving, your therapist creates a home programme for you to follow until the next visit, and telehealth check-ins are scheduled. A full written report is provided at the close of each visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which cities does Purgo Care travel to for outstation therapy?+

We travel throughout Nigeria — including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Enugu, Benin City, Kano, Kaduna, Owerri, Calabar, and other cities. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, please contact us and we will advise.

How far in advance should I book an outstation visit?+

We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance for outstation visits, as scheduling a therapist's travel requires planning. Contact us as early as possible — particularly for intensive blocks.

Is outstation support more expensive than Lagos-based therapy?+

Outstation engagements include travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs for the therapist, which are added to the therapy fee. We aim to keep this as affordable as possible and can provide a detailed cost breakdown before you commit. Many families find that an intensive block followed by telehealth is highly cost-effective.

Can outstation therapy replace local therapy entirely?+

It can serve as the primary therapy for families with no local options — especially when combined with rigorous parent training and telehealth follow-up. Ideally, we aim to help you build some local capacity over time: connecting you with local resources, training local caregivers, and supporting you to maintain progress independently between visits.

Do you offer telehealth-only support for families outside Lagos?+

Yes. For families who cannot accommodate an outstation visit, or as a supplement between visits, we offer telehealth consultations — including parent coaching sessions, programme reviews, and video-based therapy for some therapy types. Contact us to discuss what is possible for your specific situation.
